
Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Jinapor, has held a strategic meeting with representatives of the American-Jewish Committee (AJC) to discuss potential areas of cooperation in advancing Ghana’s energy transition agenda.
The engagement, which took place at the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition in Accra, focused on building partnerships in renewable energy expansion, clean cooking initiatives, and rural electrification projects aimed at improving energy access across the nation.
During the meeting, Hon. Jinapor reaffirmed the government’s strong commitment to promoting sustainable and affordable energy solutions that will benefit all Ghanaians, especially those in underserved communities.
He underscored the importance of international collaboration, explaining that partnerships with organizations like the AJC are crucial to realizing Ghana’s green transition goals and supporting long-term economic growth and environmental sustainability.
Hon. Jinapor also highlighted Ghana’s longstanding relationships with global stakeholders in the energy sector, expressing optimism that these engagements would result in tangible cooperation, technology exchange, and innovation.
He noted that Ghana’s transition toward clean energy aligns with the nation’s broader climate resilience and energy security objectives, reinforcing its leadership role in Africa’s renewable energy drive.
The minister further assured that the government will continue to strengthen partnerships with development agencies and investors to accelerate progress in green energy initiatives.
Through such collaborations, Ghana aims to attract sustainable investments, create green jobs, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
The meeting marked another milestone in the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to position Ghana as a model for clean energy adoption and a responsible player in the global movement toward a low-carbon future.
