TotalEnergies Ghana Reports Strong Growth and Dividends at 49th AGM

TotalEnergies Marketing Ghana PLC held its 49th Annual General Meeting on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra to present its 2024 performance to shareholders.

Board Chairman Philippe Ebanga reported a profit after tax of GH¢291 million for the year ended December 31, 2024 — a significant increase from GH¢169 million in 2023, attributed to cost control and a strong operational strategy.

He emphasized the company’s commitment to corporate governance, safety, and sustainability, noting over 2,700 days of zero fatalities and ISO 45001 certification in occupational health and safety.

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives were spotlighted through the Sustainab’All program, which focused on reducing emissions, solarizing stations, and conducting societal risk assessments.

The company also highlighted its impactful CSR programs, including the Young Dealer Scheme, Startupper of the Year Challenge, and Young Graduate Scheme, which have supported thousands of Ghanaian youth and entrepreneurs.

Ebanga announced that TotalEnergies Ghana was ranked 16th in Ghana’s Club 100 and 2nd in the Energy and Utilities sector, with Managing Director Olufemi Babajide named CEO of the Year (Downstream).

Babajide credited the company’s performance to a resilient business model that weathered market challenges and ensured shareholder value.

Shareholders approved the adoption of the 2024 audited financial statements and declared a total dividend of GH¢3.2245 per share, representing a 186% increase from 2023.

The total dividend payout amounted to GH¢360.736 million, offering a yield of 24.58%, nearly doubling the previous year’s 12.52%.
