Tanzania has invited Indonesian investors to explore opportunities in key sectors, including agriculture, agro-processing, mining, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, health, education, and tourism.
The invitation was made by Finance Minister Khamis Mussa Omary during a discussion with Indonesia’s Ambassador to Tanzania, Tri Yogo Jatmiko Avetisyan, where both countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in economic and social sectors for mutual benefit.
Minister Omary expressed Tanzania’s appreciation for Indonesia’s long-standing support since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1964, noting its contributions to mining, agriculture, livestock, and socio-economic development through financial assistance, technical expertise, and capacity-building programs.
Ambassador Tri Yogo Jatmiko Avetisyan highlighted that over 170 Tanzanians have benefited from Indonesia’s training initiatives in sectors such as agriculture, energy, mining, fisheries, and finance, and reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to expand knowledge-sharing programs to enhance Tanzania’s human capital and development outcomes.
This year marks 62 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
