Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC) has stepped up efforts to improve operational efficiency and institutional reforms through a strategic initiative known as “Deep Dive,” aimed at identifying and resolving key internal challenges affecting service delivery.
The initiative serves as a high-level engagement platform that brings together departments, divisions, units, and sections within the Corporation to examine operational bottlenecks, institutional weaknesses, customer service concerns, and system inefficiencies.
According to Ousman Kamara, the sessions have already started addressing major operational and institutional issues, including customer service delivery, response times, metering challenges, and overall system performance.
He explained that the engagements are intended to strengthen collaboration, improve accountability, and drive practical solutions that will help reposition LEC as a more responsive and efficiently managed utility company.
The “Deep Dive” Sessions are held every Thursday and are chaired by the Managing Director together with the Deputy Managing Directors to ensure top-level oversight, faster decision-making, and immediate implementation of agreed solutions.
