The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has rolled out a nationwide revenue mobilization campaign dubbed “Operation All Must Pay”, aimed at recovering outstanding electricity bills from all categories of customers. The exercise officially commenced on Monday, November 10, 2025, and is scheduled to end on Friday, December 12, 2025.
According to ECG, the month-long operation targets residential, commercial, industrial, and government institutions, including Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), that owe unpaid electricity bills. The campaign is part of the company’s broader strategy to improve cash flow, enhance service delivery, and sustain reliable power supply nationwide.
As part of the exercise, ECG teams will engage in bill distribution, new service connection updates, and regularization of flat-rate customers. The company also announced plans to identify and replace faulty or foreign electricity meters across the country to ensure accurate billing and curb energy losses.
In a statement, ECG warned that special monitoring teams have been deployed to ensure compliance and transparency during the operation. Customers found to be involved in illegal connections, tampering with meters, or reconnecting power after disconnection will face arrest and prosecution.
The power distributor further urged all customers in arrears to settle their outstanding bills promptly, emphasizing that payment compliance is essential for maintaining efficient operations and sustaining national power infrastructure.
Through “Operation All Must Pay,” ECG aims to instill a culture of payment responsibility, reduce revenue leakages, and strengthen its ability to provide consistent and quality electricity service across Ghana.
