Scheduled Maintenance for Atuabo Gas Plant Set for August 16–30

The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has authorized the Ghana National Gas Company Ltd. (Ghana Gas) to conduct scheduled maintenance at the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant from August 16 to August 30, 2025. This planned shutdown is designed to facilitate essential inspections, repairs, and upgrades aimed at improving the plant’s efficiency and reliability.

The Ministry emphasized that this maintenance is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of critical energy infrastructure. To prevent any disruptions in power supply during this period, the Ministry is collaborating with key stakeholders in the power sector to implement alternative fuel sources.

These proactive measures are intended to ensure that electricity supply remains stable and uninterrupted across the nation.
