Dangote Refinery has announced plans to launch a nationwide distribution network for premium motor spirit, targeting key sectors including fuel marketers, petrol stations, manufacturers, telecom companies, and the aviation industry. To drive the initiative, the company has procured 4,000 CNG-powered tankers and is expanding compressed natural gas infrastructure across Nigeria, supported by an additional fleet of over 100 CNG tankers.
The program, set to begin on August 15, 2025, aims to reduce logistics costs, improve energy efficiency, and enhance fuel access, particularly in rural and underserved areas. It also includes a credit support scheme for bulk buyers, offering an additional 500,000 liters of fuel on two-week credit for every 500,000 liters purchased, backed by a bank guarantee.
