
In Accra, Ghana, on a landmark day for the nation’s energy sector, Engen Ghana officially rebranded as MISA Energy Ghana Limited during a ceremony attended by top industry figures and government representatives.
The transition signals a strategic shift toward building a homegrown African energy brand driven by Ghanaian leadership and anchored in global best practices.
Chief Executive Officer Brent Nartey described the rebrand as a renewed commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and long-term sustainability in the energy space.
Speaking on behalf of the Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Ing. Sulemana Abubakari applauded MISA’s leadership and urged the company to align its operations with Ghana’s green energy goals.
CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, challenged MISA to maintain premium service standards, especially through the actions of its frontline staff.
Dr. Riverson Oppong, CEO of the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC) noted the rebrand was a “defining moment,” urging the company to reconnect with customers and partners through relevance and trust.
The launch gathered support for industry collaboration and innovation, positioning MISA as a potential leader in shaping Ghana’s downstream petroleum landscape.
MISA’s new identity also reflects core values such as Integrity, Passion, Excellence, and a Winning Mindset, underscoring its internal culture shift.
The company emphasized that this is more than a name change, it’s a strategic transformation aimed at empowering local capacity and enhancing service delivery.
