Gastech 2025: Libya calls for global energy cooperation 

Libya’s Acting Minister of Oil and Gas, Khalifa Abdelsadiq, has called for stronger international partnerships to enhance global energy security. Addressing the Gastech 2025 Conference in Milan, he stressed that effective policies are vital to stabilising markets and advancing the global energy transition, with natural gas playing a strategic role in diversifying the energy mix and supporting the shift to cleaner sources. 

The minister pointed to rising global demand and geopolitical tensions as pressing challenges, urging the adoption of innovative financing models to drive investment and technology deployment. According to the Ministry of Oil and Gas, Libya’s participation in the forum underscores its commitment to sustainable development, energy security, and positioning itself as a reliable partner in the international energy sector.
