
On Tuesday, July 16, 2025, Energy and Green Transition Minister John Abdulai Jinapor visited the Ghana National Gas Company Limited (GNGC) as part of his stakeholder engagement tour.
During his visit, he met with GNGC management and staff to discuss the company’s strategic direction and the government’s energy development priorities.
Minister Jinapor emphasized the central role of natural gas in Ghana’s energy transition, describing it as a foundation for energy security and economic growth.
He urged staff to give their full commitment to the sector, noting that government plans include expanding gas infrastructure and constructing a new processing plant.
According to Jinapor, these initiatives will support industrialization, boost power generation, and create jobs across the country.
He also stressed the importance of investing in pipelines and operational systems to enhance the delivery of domestic gas.
Welcoming the Minister, GNGC Managing Director Judith Adjobah Blay expressed gratitude for his visit and praised his forward-looking leadership.
Blay reaffirmed GNGC’s readiness to align with national goals and improve efficiency in gas production and distribution.
The visit highlighted the government’s commitment to stronger partnerships within the energy sector to ensure a sustainable and affordable energy future for Ghanaians.
