A consortium made up of Egypt’s Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations Company (Petrojet) and the Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries Company (ENPPI) has secured a long-term engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) framework agreement with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).
The six-year agreement, signed at PDO’s headquarters in Oman, allows the Egyptian consortium to compete for contracts under PDO’s portfolio of projects valued at more than $6 billion through a competitive tendering process.
Petrojet-ENPPI is among four international consortia and contractors selected under the framework arrangement to bid for future projects to be developed by Oman’s leading oil and gas producer.
Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said the agreement supports the country’s efforts to expand the global footprint of Egyptian energy companies, enhance their competitiveness and promote their expertise in delivering major energy infrastructure projects.
The ministry added that the deal reflects strengthening cooperation between Egypt and Oman in the energy sector and creates new opportunities for collaboration between the two countries’ petroleum industries.
It said the selection of the Egyptian consortium alongside other international companies highlights the confidence placed in Petrojet and ENPPI’s technical capabilities, project execution experience and ability to meet global standards in quality, safety and operational performance.
According to the ministry, the achievement demonstrates the growing role of Egyptian petroleum companies as reliable partners in implementing large-scale energy projects across regional and international markets.
It added that the agreement further highlights efforts to position Egyptian engineering and technical expertise as a competitive service offering capable of securing major projects abroad.
