West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) has announced the appointment of Angela Yasmin Heymann as its new General Manager for Corporate Affairs, effective July 1, 2026.
She takes over from Dr. Isaac Adjei Doku, who completed his tenure on June 30, 2026, after more than five years in the role.
WAPCo said Mrs. Heymann was introduced to key stakeholders in Lagos in June 2026 ahead of her assumption of office.
She brings over three decades of experience spanning legal, governance, regulatory affairs, and leadership roles across the energy, finance, and public sectors, with a strong background in corporate governance and stakeholder engagement.
According to the company, her appointment reflects its commitment to strengthening corporate governance, enhancing strategic partnerships, and delivering sustainable value across its operations.
WAPCo welcomed her appointment, expressing confidence in her ability to contribute to the organisation’s strategic direction and stakeholder relations.
The company also commended the outgoing General Manager for his service, noting his contributions to staff welfare, inclusive leadership, policy development, and stakeholder engagement during his tenure.
It described him as a mentor whose leadership left a lasting impact on the organisation and wished him success in his future endeavours.
