Nuclear Power Ghana Engages Media to Boost Public Awareness on Energy Initiatives

A delegation from Nuclear Power Ghana and the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) visited Citi FM and Channel One TV on Tuesday, February 10, as part of efforts to promote public understanding of Ghana’s energy sector and its path toward sustainability, industrial growth, and global competitiveness.

Daniel Wordson, Manager of the Executive Office at Nuclear Power Ghana, told Citi News that nuclear energy is central to Ghana’s long-term industrial development. He emphasized the critical role of the media in shaping public perception.

“The media is a vital partner in any development agenda, as it directly connects with the public. For any government or institutional project, securing a strong social license is essential,” Daniel Wordson said. “Through this engagement, we aim to ensure that the media understands the government’s vision for the country’s energy landscape and can effectively communicate it to the public.”
