
The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Jinapor, has reiterated the government’s dedication to ensuring a reliable, stable, and sustainable power supply across Ghana.
On Monday, October 13, 2025, Hon. Jinapor convened a strategic meeting in Accra with key stakeholders in the power sector, marking the continuation of engagements designed to advance Ghana’s energy transition and sustainability agenda.
The discussions centered on long-term strategies through 2030, focusing on improving the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity nationwide. The minister highlighted the government’s resolve to safeguard progress already achieved while driving further modernization of the energy infrastructure.
“Our talks explored practical steps to guarantee consistent power delivery and modernize the energy sector. We are determined to enhance our achievements to promote economic growth and improve livelihoods,” Hon. Jinapor stated.
The engagement formed part of the Ministry’s Green Transition Programme, a national initiative that aims to balance Ghana’s expanding energy demands with environmentally responsible policies.
Hon. Jinapor emphasized that energy stability remains a cornerstone for industrialization, job creation, and national development, noting that a resilient power sector is vital to sustaining economic momentum.
He assured Ghanaians that the government will continue collaborating with all industry players, including public and private entities, to strengthen energy security and operational efficiency.
Through these consultations, the Ministry seeks to foster a coordinated approach to sustainable power delivery, ensuring that Ghana’s energy future is both inclusive and resilient.
The meeting underscored the government’s ongoing efforts to achieve long-term energy reliability, reaffirming its commitment to progress, innovation, and environmental stewardship.
