GOIL Assures Public of Stable Fuel Supply Despite Global Crisis

The Managing Director of Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL), Mr. Edward Bawa, has assured consumers that fuel supplies will remain stable despite disruptions linked to tensions in the Middle East.

Speaking in Accra during a visit to GOIL’s 37 filling station to mark the company’s Pride Day, Mr. Bawa said the firm has taken proactive steps to prevent shortages across the country.

He noted that GOIL is absorbing part of the financial impact from global oil market volatility to shield customers from rising fuel costs.

“We will make sure there wouldn’t be shortage in the country,” Mr. Bawa said, adding that the company is committed to sharing some of its margins to ease the burden on consumers.

The assurance comes amid concerns that geopolitical instability in the Middle East could disrupt global fuel supply chains and drive up prices.

Mr. Bawa explained that GOIL is strategically managing its operations and supply logistics to ensure consistent nationwide distribution.

The Pride Day event, held at the 37 station and other outlets, forms part of activities celebrating Ghana Month and engaging both staff and customers.

The initiative also highlights GOIL’s identity as a locally rooted oil marketing company focused on national development.

Company officials say the programme reinforces their commitment to delivering value and maintaining reliability during uncertain global market conditions.

GOIL’s stance underscores efforts by Ghana’s energy sector players to maintain stability and protect consumers from external economic shocks.
