His appointment is expected to support ongoing efforts to strengthen the country’s energy and petroleum sector.

In his remarks, Mr. Jallow pledged to work closely with staff and key stakeholders to build on existing progress and advance the Ministry’s strategic objectives.

Meanwhile, Mr. Camara was praised for his leadership during his tenure, with officials highlighting improvements in operational efficiency and the promotion of a culture of professionalism, diligence, and teamwork.

Staff members also acknowledged his role in fostering a collaborative working environment that enhanced the Ministry’s ability to deliver on its mandate.

The Ministry expressed appreciation for his contributions and wished him success in his new role, while also welcoming Mr. Jallow and assuring him of full institutional support.
