The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Jinapor, has held discussions with the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC) to review its performance for 2025 and align strategic priorities for 2026.
The engagement, which forms part of the Ministry’s broader strategic planning efforts, focused on strengthening execution, unlocking new investment opportunities and positioning the Corporation to deliver greater value across Ghana’s energy value chain.
Dr. Jinapor reaffirmed the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation’s role as a key pillar of government’s energy investment agenda, noting its importance in driving infrastructure development, attracting private sector participation and enhancing long-term energy security.
In a post following the meeting, the Minister said the focus going forward would be on boosting investor confidence and fast-tracking transformative projects that support job creation and sustainable economic growth.
The Petroleum Hub project, located in the Jomoro District of the Western Nzema Area, is a flagship initiative aimed at developing a fully integrated petroleum complex. The project is expected to play a significant role in adding value to both upstream and downstream oil and gas activities in Ghana and across the African continent.
