Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has completed the replacement of power transformers at the Ridge Bulk Supply Point in the Ashanti Region ahead of the initially scheduled timeline as part of efforts to strengthen electricity supply in Kumasi.
The state owned power distributor said the project was expedited with the support of the Minister for Energy and Green Transition Hon. Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor.
Speaking during a tour of ECG facilities in the Ashanti Region with the Energy Minister on Friday Acting Managing Director Ing. Kwame Kpekpena assured stakeholders that the company remains on track to complete all promised projects within the region over the next three to six months.
According to him ECG is simultaneously implementing other planned infrastructure works aimed at improving the reliability and stability of electricity supply to consumers.
Ing. Kpekpena also commended Hon. Dr. Jinapor for his continued support toward the company’s operations and reaffirmed ECG’s commitment to enhancing customer service delivery.
The Ridge Bulk Supply Point transformer replacement forms part of broader infrastructure improvement projects being undertaken to reinforce the power distribution network and reduce electricity supply challenges within the Ashanti Region.
