BOST ENERGIES Holds 2025 AGM, Reinforces Commitment to Ghana’s Petroleum Strategy

The Bulk Energy Storage and Transportation Limited Company (BOST Energies) convened its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) today at its headquarters in Accra, gathering key stakeholders including the Minister for Energy and Green Transition and representatives from various government bodies. In his keynote address, the Minister commended the board, led by Professor Saint Kuttu, and Managing Director Afetsi Awoonor for their efforts in enhancing BOST Energies operational efficiency over the past seven months. He urged the company to strategically position itself within the petroleum downstream value chain to become a major industry supplier.

The Minister also called for accelerated innovation and investments that align with the government’s green transition agenda, emphasizing the importance of integrating sustainability into BOST Energies core operations to foster a cleaner energy future for Ghana. The Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) stressed the need for BOST Energies to achieve profitability and declare dividends to the government by the end of the 2025 financial year.

He highlighted the expectations outlined in the 2025 performance contract, which includes cost optimization, revenue generation, and asset maximization, urging accountability to the Ghanaian public. The Board Chairman reiterated BOST Energies commitment to ensuring Ghana’s strategic petroleum reserves and improving storage and transportation infrastructure. He noted ongoing investments in infrastructure rehabilitation, digitalization, and governance enhancements at the board level, reaffirming BOST Energies pivotal role in the nation’s energy landscape.
