The Ghana Grid Company Ltd. (GRIDCo) has confirmed that a technical fault at the Smelter II Substation caused a power outage in parts of Tema on Monday night.
The incident, which occurred at about 22:58 hrs, disrupted electricity supply to several communities, affecting both residents and businesses. GRIDCo said its engineers were promptly deployed to investigate the fault and begin restoration works.
The company apologised for the inconvenience caused and assured the public that every effort is being made to restore stable power supply as soon as possible.
