WLGA leadership visits NPA to strengthen collaboration on gas sector development

The leadership of the World Liquid Gas Association on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority, Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, at the Authority’s head office in Accra.

During the engagement, the Association’s Chief Advocacy Officer and Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Michael Kelly, commended the NPA’s leadership and Ghana’s progress in regulating the gas sector, describing the country as a benchmark within Sub Saharan Africa.

He also lauded the implementation of the Cylinder Recirculation Model and extended an invitation to the Authority to participate in the Clean Cooking for Life Forum scheduled to take place in Accra.

In response, Mr. Tameklo reaffirmed the NPA’s commitment to deepening gas penetration, strengthening safety and regulatory standards, and expanding access to liquefied petroleum gas across the country.

He further highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing the sector and assured that Ghana will continue to position itself as a model for effective gas industry management in the region.
