Sudan’s Minister of Energy and Petroleum Engineering, Eng. Al-Mu’tasim Ibrahim Ahmed Ali, has inspected the operations of the Sudanese Petroleum Pipelines Company, stressing the company’s important role in the transportation and distribution of petroleum products across the country.
During the inspection visit to the company’s headquarters, the minister reviewed operational performance and extended Eid al-Adha greetings to employees.
He stated that Sudan’s transition toward peace and stability requires greater efforts to improve essential public services and ensure reliable fuel supply for residential, industrial and agricultural activities.
Eng. Al-Mu’tasim commended the company’s workforce for supporting the movement of petroleum products from Port Sudan to fuel pumping stations in areas including Atbara, Khartoum and Madani through the pipeline network.
Director-General of the company, Mohamed Salih, said several pumping stations and storage facilities have been rehabilitated to strengthen fuel transportation operations and maintain supply stability.
He further explained that the company distributes petroleum products through its 8-inch and 12-inch pipeline network serving multiple states across Sudan.
According to him, the company is also collaborating with GIAD on equipment manufacturing and implementing the Al-Gaili–Madani pipeline project as part of plans to expand the country’s pipeline infrastructure nationwide.
