Minister of Energy and Green Transition Applauds BOSTEnergies for Strategic Transformation and Renewable Initiatives

The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Abdulai Jinapor, has commended BOSTEnergies (formerly the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited – BOST) for its renewed efficiency, strategic reforms, and commitment to innovation. The minister made the remarks during a working visit to the company’s headquarters this week, where he reviewed its operations and ongoing transformation agenda.

Dr. Jinapor expressed satisfaction with the professionalism and dynamism of BOSTEnergies’ management and staff, describing the company’s current trajectory as a model of efficiency and national purpose. He highlighted that the rebranding to BOSTEnergies reflects a stronger commitment to ensuring Ghana’s fuel security and supporting broader economic growth.

The minister also praised the establishment of a Renewable Energy Department, noting that the move aligns with Ghana’s transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy. He said the initiative demonstrates the company’s readiness to play a leading role in advancing the President’s vision for a green energy future.

Dr. Jinapor further underscored the importance of expanding energy infrastructure, calling for more depots, pipelines, and distribution systems to close regional supply gaps and strengthen national energy resilience. He reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to providing technical, strategic, and policy support to sustain BOSTEnergies’ growth and modernization efforts.

“BOSTEnergies remains central to Ghana’s energy security,” he stated, “and I look forward to seeing the company lead with innovation and purpose as we move towards a cleaner, more secure energy future.”
