Petroleum Commission and Liberia Petroleum Regulatory Authority have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions in the petroleum sector.
The agreement is expected to promote regulatory collaboration, knowledge exchange and stakeholder engagement as both countries seek to maximise the value of their hydrocarbon resources while adapting to the evolving global energy transition.
The MoU was signed at the Petroleum Commission’s headquarters in Accra.
Chief Executive Officer of the Petroleum Commission, Madam Emeafa Hardcastle, signed on behalf of the Ghanaian regulator, while Hon. Marilyn T. Logan signed on behalf of Liberia’s Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
The partnership is expected to support stronger institutional cooperation and create opportunities for both regulators to share expertise and best practices within the petroleum industry.
