The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has assured the public that Ghana’s electricity supply remains largely stable following recent technical faults affecting several neighborhoods in Accra and Kumasi.
A statement issued by the Ministry’s Spokesperson and Director of Communications, Richmond Rockson, confirmed that at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the technical team successfully resolved the fault affecting the feeder supplying Lakeside and its surrounding areas.
The statement noted that nearly all causes of the recent outages in the affected communities, including Achimota, Dodowa, Tesano, Tantra Hill, and adjoining areas, have been addressed.
Mr. Rockson added that the technical team is still working to resolve remaining issues in parts of Tema and Adenta. Outside of these locations, power supply has remained largely uninterrupted.
“The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition assures all consumers of its continued commitment to ensuring a reliable and consistent power supply at all times,” the statement concluded.
