The Ghana Revenue Authority has announced that the revised Energy Sector Levies will take effect from July 16, 2025. This follows a temporary suspension last month to allow further consultations.
In a statement signed by Acting Commissioner-General Anthony Akwasi Sarpong, the GRA said the implementation of the Energy Sector Levies (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act 1141),was postponed in agreement with the Ministries of Finance and Energy.
The move, according to the Authority, was aimed at monitoring global market trends and protecting the progress made in stabilizing domestic fuel prices.
