COMAC Urges OMCs Not to Sell Below NPA Price Floors

The Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies has cautioned its members against selling petroleum products below the ex pump price floors approved for the second pricing window of February 2026.

The directive follows the release of new price floors by the National Petroleum Authority which take effect from Monday February 16, 2026. Under the approved schedule, petrol is pegged at GH¢10.24 per litre, diesel (AGO) at GH¢11.34 per litre, LPG at GH¢9.43 per kilogram, Marine Gas Oil Local at GH¢10.45 per litre, and kerosene at GH¢9.21 per litre. Oil Marketing Companies may sell at the stated floors but are not permitted to price below them.

In a statement signed by Dr Riverson Oppong, Chief Executive Officer of COMAC, the Chamber called for strict compliance among its members. It emphasized that adherence to the directive is necessary to preserve market stability, ensure fairness within the industry, and protect consumers.

COMAC also warned that failure to comply with the approved pricing framework could attract sanctions from the NPA.
