
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Judith Adjobah Blay as the new Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Gas Company Limited.
Her appointment follows the resignation of former CEO Dr. Ben Asante. Meanwhile, Robert Kofi Lartey, previously the Director in charge of Operations, has been promoted to Deputy Managing Director, reinforcing leadership at Ghana Gas.
Head of Corporate Communications, Richard Kirk-Mensah, confirmed the appointments in a statement, describing Adjobah Blay’s selection as a significant milestone for the country’s energy sector. He highlighted her extensive experience in leadership, policy development, and sustainable business practices.
Until her appointment, Adjobah Blay served as Deputy Director of Contracts Administration at the Petroleum Commission of Ghana, where she spearheaded a 25% annual increase in local supplier participation in the upstream petroleum industry. She previously worked as Manager of Community Relations at the commission, integrating environmental, social, and governance principles into industry strategies.
