The Electricity Company of Ghana and Tema Oil Refinery have announced new leadership.
Ing. Julius Kpekpena takes over as Acting Managing Director of ECG, replacing Ing. David Asamoah. With experience as ECG’s Director of Engineering and a former role at the Millennium Development Authority, Ing. Kpekpena is tasked with cutting operational losses, boosting revenue, and overseeing aspects of ECG’s privatization to improve efficiency.
At the Tema Oil Refinery, Dr. Yusif Sulemana has been appointed as Managing Director. He officially assumed office on February 10, 2025, bringing over 20 years of expertise in petroleum, power, and alternative energy. His focus will be on refinery process optimization and systematic troubleshooting to strengthen TOR’s operations.
Both appointments mark a new phase of leadership aimed at enhancing efficiency and performance.
