Chevron has finalized its farm-in agreement with Custos Energy and National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR), acquiring an 80% stake and operatorship of PEL 82 in Namibia’s Walvis Basin. Custos and NAMCOR retain 10% each, marking a key milestone in Namibia’s offshore energy sector.
With extensive seismic data already available, PEL 82 is among the Walvis Basin’s most promising assets. Chevron’s expansion aligns with its broader strategy to strengthen offshore exploration, reinforcing Namibia’s growing status as an emerging oil and gas hotspot.
