COPEC Predicts Fuel Price Hike for March 2026

The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) has projected a rise in fuel prices for March 2026, citing increasing international crude oil prices in its latest report released on February 24, 2026.

According to the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), petrol prices are expected to increase by about 3.59 percent, while diesel could rise by 1.52 percent. Conversely, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is projected to decrease slightly by approximately 1.57 percent across fuel stations.

The Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC) attributed the anticipated increases mainly to higher global fuel prices, despite a modest appreciation of the Ghanaian cedi against the US dollar during the current pricing window.

Based on COPEC’s projections, petrol is expected to sell between GHS 11.80 and 13.00 per litre, diesel between GHS 12.73 and 14.00 per litre, and LPG between GHS 11.48 and 12.69 per kilogram.

COPEC Executive Secretary Duncan Amoah urged oil marketing companies to maintain stable prices where possible to reduce additional financial pressure on consumers.
